Vyasta chaumathày, kantar mukut kabir mathày
Kabi jvaliye rakhey hridaye o karataley dookhkho-bodh
Sarvabhuk pàbaker mato – jantranà, abhab o krodh
Athacho chokh thekey jharey bhalobasa, manusheri byathay.
Kabi bhalobasey tàr santàner mukhey chumu khetey
Kabi ek asthir premik tàr nijasva narir kachey
Nàri to jàne nà kabir saptaparni krititva achey ki nà achey
Tabey shudhu kabi-I pàrey ekàki manusher kachey jetey…
